Connie Willis has charmed science fiction fans with her short stories and novels. She's won a Campbell Award, a Locus Award, seven Hugo Awards and six Nebulas-more than any other author. She's also pulled in nominations for such awards as Bram Stoker awards, British Fantasy Awards, and World Fantasy Awards. Her first short story collection was a New York Times Notable Book.

Born in 1945, Willis began publishing short stories in 1971 and novels in 1982. Some of her best-known work is done as philosophical farce, though satire, comedy of manners, and farce are also sprinkled heavily throughout her work.
