Nebula Awards
The Nebula Awards are the Oscars of the science fiction and fantasy field, awards presented by professionals to professionals. The Science Fiction Writers of America created the awards in the mid-1960s, as the basis for annual anthologies that would contribute to the income of the organization. The awards were first given in 1966 for works published in 1965.

Judging Process: Members of the Science Fiction Writers of America submit recommendations. All works receiving at least 10 member recommendations are placed on a preliminary ballot. All members vote to determine the final ballot and a selected jury may add one work per category. All members then vote on the final ballot to determine winners.
